The city of San Francisco partners with the State of California to offer a green certification program for local businesses. Following certification practices for operations, energy management, and procurement can save money and foster employee engagement.

I was an early advocate of obtaining a sustainability certification for Swissnex. This service business was among the first cohort of certified local green businesses in the city. I was also influential in getting the program officers to consider social measures with customers and stakeholders as a way to deepen the program’s impact and visibility in the community.
